Odd coding behaviour

Hi,

It's been a while since I had my E92, but was asked by a friend to see if we could code the folding mirrors on his 09 plate E91 335d to fold when locking and unlocking.

Nothing too complicated here I thought, got the Standard tools package and the e89 daten files, installed the software and dredged the web for instructions to remind me how the predecessor to e-sys works!

Connected to the car fine, interogated the NFRM module and used NCS dummy to change the attributes for folding mirrors. Exported the .man file and used NCS to push the amended setup back to the module.

That's where the odd behaviour began - car now has non fucntioning mirrors. They wont fold using the button in the car, and mirror adjustment doesn't work either. Fuse is fine, and I'm assured they were working before we coded the lock/unlock elements. The car also threw an Adapative Headlight error - which is odd, as it has standard halogens - unless I'm mistaken adapative was with Xenons on E9X, right?

Default code the FRM module and see if they come back to functioning state. You also need to code them in CAS module.

So this is effectively building a fresh .MAN based on the VO for the car from the daten files? So, as long as the VO is correct, factory defaults are automatically built and coded?

We've not changed the VO, but I will check it against the VIN to make sure nothing's been added/removed previously ...

Yes. Default coding resets the module parameters back to whatever the VO calls for. As long as the VO hasn't been changed it should reset everything to the original settings.
