E9X M3 Springs or E9x M3 Swift Springs on 330i?

Has anyone attempted to install M3 ZCP stock or Swift lowering springs on a non-M or 330i?

Does fit?

If, so pros vs con?

I run M3 Comp springs and M3 B8's in the rear. Of course you need to use the M3 lower camber link and use a custom headlight leveling bracket too. Works very well with my M3 drivetrain and RSB.

i'm not looking to go all out M3. I have both comp springs and swing lowering springs from my e90 m3, so I'm looking to make the most of it and use it on the E90 330i if it'll fit and add value over the stock 330i springs

They won't fit. Both the front and rear springs from a M3 use a different setup than non M cars.

I can see why that would make sense for the front, but the rears just get dropped into the spring tray so it causes me to be optimistic.

I may be deadass wrong, but I haven't seen any evidence to support or prove that E9x M3 springs won't fit an E90 non-M. The shocks are designed differently, so those definitely won't, but the springs are a different story.

Context: I have a E90 330i ZSP and a E90 M. I upgraded the M to Ohlins coilovers. Prior to that I had Swift lowering springs installed on the stock suspension. I'm currently in the process of refreshing the original shocks on the 330i to Bilstein B8s, so since I have the Swifts laying around I thought I should make use of them.

Differences: The relevant differences between the two are the shocks (which are not in question here) and of course the front upper strut mounts/guide support.

Like parts: Realoem shows that both vehicles use the same front lower spring pads which suggests that the springs should fit properly onto both the M3 and 330i shocks

My plan: My plan is to take the Swift springs designed for the M3 and fit them onto the B8s which are designed for the 330i. I intend on using the M3 front upper strut mount/guide support and spring pad to ensure proper fitment onto the upper portion of the springs. Since the chassis is the same, I assume the M3 guide support should fit the 330i

Rear Springs: They share the same upper spring pad and spring pocket. The lower pads are different, so I’ll investigate that when I get under there. I ‘m thinking that I should be able to transfer the M lower pads over if I need to.

Not relevant, but the rear shocks actually use all the same components except for the bump stops.

Miscellaneous: I didn’t mention other suspension components because they aren’t relevant to the question which is primarily about fitment. The biggest unknown is whether or not M3 front guide supports will fit the 330i. If they fit, I’m almost 100% certain my theory will work.

Yeah, just found a thread on it. The M3 front top mounts also don't fit non-M struts due to m14 vs m12 threads (respectively), and the m3 mount is too tall for the threaded portion of a non-m strut to go through. Shame, but never mind!
