Anyway, i have never used my "DS" mode cos i use al the time manual mode, so I was wondering.

DS mode is, in my opinion, absolutly not suitable for daily use.
Good for the lazy track users but certainly not suitable for most people in common traffic.

Like i see it, for common use "D" is for comfortable driving and self switching for sporty driving so
"DS" mode looks to me personally dispensable....but that is me..
Personally I never go out of DS mode unless I'm doing a long trip, I think DS is more suitable when you're not in a city or stuck in heavy track otherwise you have to switching gears. I use D mode for long trips and being more economical with gas, not that this car is suited to be that economic in city driving anyway.

DS mode is more ideal because of giving you that sporty feel and that instant snappiness off the line when you're in the city and you don't have to worry about constantly shifting gears.

Any info on supporting pre-03/2007 cars? I missed the bus by 1 month (02/2007) and I would definitely be flashing my AT6 with this if made compatible. *fingers crossed*

Anyone having any issues with this yet??

I'm not, just asking.

This car has been a pure pleasure to drive since the trans has been awoken by xHP!

Report your thoughts please??

After reading this thread I think I’m going to pull the trigger on xHp. I have the Alpina flash but I feel like the transmission still has more potential.

For those of you that run xHp stage 3 how much of a difference did you notice over Alpina? My car is a DD and I almost exclusively drive the car in manual mode, except for in heavy traffic I will switch over to D mode.

In the beginning it was not too much of a difference between the 2. D mode was better in xHP. Now with all of the revisions done there is a large difference between them. The xHP flash is now much smoother and "smarter" than the OEM flash. Easily the best mod I have done to the car.

A better D mode is one of the main selling points for me. Alpina D mode is super sluggish, and that’s why I only use it when I’m crawling in traffic.

If there’s a noticeable difference in M-Mode then I’m sold. Can anyone speak on that?

For Stage 3, in M mode there is a very noticeable difference. I'm not sure how much faster shifts actually are, but it's definitely better than Alpina.

All of the gas E series run that trans if they are AT. Get to flashing already!

It depends how heavy your foot is. I have a 9 mile commute without freeways in stop and go traffic and I get ~13.2mpg with the Stage 2+ 91 octane map. My right foot is pretty heavy and I reguarly take advantage of the massive torque of the N55 and pass people like a typical BMW driver so your YMMV depending on your driving style.

That’s for sure. The bump in torque is incredible when you want to pass someone!

You don't have to tell me twice! New cable arrived, it's time I put a bashing on it. That cable has no idea what I have in store for it! I'll look around and see who has done it already.
