PSA Footwell module reimbursement
Hi guys
Some good news for those affected by the footwell module. If you had your replaced within 156,000 miles you are fortunate to have BMW reimburse you for it. Initially the warranty on it was extended to 126,000 miles, but recently it was extended again to 156,000 miles. I had mine replaced in December at 151,000 miles so back then I had to pay out my own pocket. My mechanic told me today I can apply for a reimbursement, granted I have the receipts to prove the work performed. Here is the website: http://bmw-rp.com/production/bmw/rei...bmw_portal.nsf bmw-rp.com if the link above takes you to a dead end. You need the last 7 digits of the VIN, a scanned copy of the invoice and proof of payment. I scanned the invoice from the mechanic and the credit card payment receipt. It may take 5-6 weeks to get your money, but it is worth it. |

Thanks for the heads up, wasnt aware there was an extension on these. When did you receive a notice from BMW for this extension?
Also, what function does this footwell module serve? |

I have this reoccurring auc sensor code but not real problems to speak of, do you think this is a sign of a problem?

So after the frm warranty which was a while back (just recently extended) you replace it yourself or Indy, no reimbursement. Have to go to the dealer for it to be covered. If someone had it otherwise, let us know but my experience wasnt that. |

BMW reimbursed me for the cost of a new SCR tank last year. I bought one new from https://www.getbmwparts.com/ (before the warranty was extended) and since they are essentially a dealership that sells parts online, the invoice was like any other from the parts department. |

At the time you weren't eligible, before the warranty was extended.... You do get to get reimbursement. If you did it after they started the extension, they will reject saying you need to get it done by bmw.

My mechanic (indy) told me about it. The module affects pretty much all your electronics. No power anything, no lights, no dashboard function, no power windows, etc. |

According to this document from BMW, it looks like it not only covers the 335D and X5D, but a whole host of other models. |

A little off topic but when i lull my key out after putting it in park everything seems dead door locks don't work, no lights power on or anything. Seems real quiet in car. FRM? fuse? Any FRM codes that i should look for?
