Is that the N54? If so, I feel like an idiot for giving bad information, but would be Really happy because I love the mods for the N54.
twinpower is just the marketing name bmw uses for all its turbo engines... either twin turbo or dual scroll single turbos:

this is the engine out of the 7, it has two single scroll turbos:

4.4-liter, 32-valve V-8 engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, High Precision Direct Injection, 4 overhead camshafts, and Double-VANOS steplessly variable valve timing

X5M, also two single scroll turbos:
4.4-liter, 32-valve M TwinPower Turbo V-8 engine with High Precision Direct Injection, cylinder-bank comprehensive manifold (CCM), and 4 overhead camshafts

TwinPower does not mean its an N55.

Thanks so much guys! I was really worried that I was going to have to wait a long time before I could even get an exhaust for the car. I am so pleased! Take care and I hope everyone is enjoying the game!

Bad OP, bad bad OP! lol
If your car is in production, you should have a VIN (if not now, then soon). You can call your dealer's parts counter and ask them if the car will have an N54. One way to verify is to ask whether the BMW Performance Power Kit (PN 11 12 2 157 665) is applicable to your VIN.

I'm really sorry for the bad info, guys- but I am happy that I have the N54. I guess the loss of power that I felt is because my 1er was a lot lighter.

haha ha .. I've never seen so many people got all riled up by a thread that's barely 2 pages long. Either this is an honest mistake by the OP (which I believe it is), or it has to rank among the top 10 greatest frank posts ever. Hilarious

I really am sorry to get everyone riled up about my comments. I truly thought because it felt a little bit different in the XI, and then when I saw the word "TwinPower" , I assumed I had the twinscroll N55. Again, I apoligize to anyone that I caused to worry about what engine they were getting in their new car. Have a great weekend, everyone!
