Hello, I have a 325i with Idrive, I wanted to connect my android phone. NO USB and NO Bluetooth in settings over the IDrive menu. I have COMMUNICATION option, and when I enter it, it shows Phone-BMW Contacts

Entering Phone will go in pairing mode then never finds anything, but says NO phone found and a number to call. I don't have manual or else I wouldn't ask

I wonder if it's not equipped with BT ? it should since it has IDrive right? let me know where should i start looking

look in the trunk and see if you have any boxes under the floor.. either MULF or TCU.
my 06 has i-drive but no BT just navi and voice control.
i had no boxes in the trunk until i did a cic retrofit and added a combox (highly recommended)

Dension Gateway 500s Bt is one of the better ways.
Go to there website.
Bimmertech does OEM retrofits there kind of pricy for what
you get .
The 06 model year had phone support but no music support .
As the previous poster said you can upgrade to CIC and combox but
it will be expensive.

How much did it cost you for the upgrade and where did you get it from? I drive 325i e90 has i-drive, navigation, and voice control.

Cost me around $2500-$3000 for the entire thing..

CIC radio
CIC display
CIC controller
CIC center trim
CIC emulator
Combox
TCU to Combox adaptor
CIC firmware upgrade (for BMW apps)
USB cables
Display cables
USB ports

Then i added sirius tuner, eject box for iPhone and a media cradle.

Then tons of time installing, troubleshooting.. and coding!

But, i love my cic retrofit, bluetooth audio streaming (stereo), voice control, navigation with 2015 CIC maps, hands free calling, BMW apps (my favourite for music).

it doesn't end!
