Outside temperature range for using front seal gasket maker?

Hello,

Does anyone know if it has to be at least a certain temperature for the sealant injection to work properly. I found belt shards in my oil pan and am looking to replace the front seal, but it is winter here in PA.

Thanks

The safety data sheet quotes cure time at 73deg F. If it's colder then cure time will go up. Storage is good down to 43deg F. Once cured product is good down to -65deg F

I know it's been like 8 years, but wondering how this Loctite 5970 hold over time.
It's so much cheaper than the Loctite 193140 and also seems easier to apply..

I never had an issue with the sealant, holds strong and no leaks after many miles and years.

Now those darn turbos on the other hand... oh boy.

Thanks for the quick response!

Haha good luck with the turbos, I also need to work on them as soon as budget allows…
