I have my first small scale prototype. We will be printing full scale later this week.

Why does it look much smaller than the actual openings, or is it just the pics making it looks that way?

I used OEM M3 ducts and just modified the backs of them to fit inside the rep bumper.

So these are not meant to fit in the "foglight opening," but rather in the spot at the bottom of the bumper between the center opening and the low detail on the outside edge of the fascia.

(The ducts are for the e92 (my car), despite the attached picture being an e90)

Ahh cool, I see now. Yeah I have a front lip so these wouldn't work for me. Cool idea though, I'm sure you'll find some people interested if you sell them

I'm going to make my own lip/under tray so it will be flat, leaving the gap. So I decided to make brake ducts to utilize the gap.

Nothing like a 9+ hour print to test your patience

So when printing the second one, it failed, twice. The second time badly and it messed up some of the printer components. I will update when I have profess.

Dang that sucks, what happened? Are you going to paint these or redo them in black?

So these I made as a prototype/personal set and I have orange accents. I doubt I'll reprint or paint them black. If I decided to sell, I'd do either a vacuum form or fiberglass.

So the long and short of the situation is that the passenger side will get done.

Potential production:
We had a design that allow me to make additional fiberglass scoops. That may be an issue. Because they were designed on software owned (licensed) by my job, it may be technically owned by them. So I don't know where I'm at yet as far as that goes. With that said, I don't know if there's interest any way.

You should create a brake duct that will fit on the M3 rep bumper with the fog lights. Design it to fit between the fog light and the inner edge of that part of the bumper.

That would be where an oil cooler duct would likely need to be. And unfortunately I no longer work where I have access to it.

With that said, a buddy of mine that's still there is wrapping up the second print!
