3IM swap question
Would it be unsafe to get a manifold with higher mileage on it? I found this on ebay:
http://r.ebay.com/prNUhV Anything besides mileage that I should look out for? I know the disa units should be tested on the original intake manifold but any other concerns when shopping for one? I'm very eager to get this started |

it would be fine. I got mine used and saved a ton of money. Just clean it up really good and you'll be fine. That one doesn't look like it has the DISA valves attached, so you may need to buy those separately.
Also, the 5 series manifold has only 1 oil drain port instead of 2, so you'll need to plug up one of the hose ends on your vent pipe. |

That looks exactly what i picked up. As what Mike-y said it is missing the DISA valve. And require a lot of cleaning.
My one had some oil residue so I had to reach in and wipe it all up with paper towel and brake cleaner. |

Just a pathway inductor for the airflow, no need to consider mileage on this part. If you're looking at wear-related engine part, then best get brand new or consider low mileage.
