NJ Vermillion Red Mettalic E92

Hello guys, my name is Jon but friends call me RoCcy. I'm a native resident of New Jersey. I've been a car fanatic ever since I can remember, I guess you can say I'm a member of The Fast & The Furious generation. At the age of 25 I land my childhood dream job of being a firefighter. I took ownership of a CPO 2011 Vermillion Red Metallic 328i xDrive back in May of 2014. I have made some changes here & there. I'm new to the bmw scene, made the jump from honda, like I said I was a product of The Fast & The Furious. The scene with the three black EJ1 civics solidified Hondas in my heart forever, but I have grown to have an appreciation for all cars over the years.

This car was intended to be only my daily driver & remain stock, but not long after purchase, I sold my honda build then the infamous mod bug bit me & here we are today.

Here's a little info about the car:

May 12th

"The day that we met"

First things first, let's get rid of this front plate

Tinted the car (makes the color pop very well imo

A couple months went by without me changing anything because I've been trying to figure out what direction to go with the car. I want to be different but I'm not prepared to jump out the window with anything crazy.

Finally De-badged the car

Got bored and decided to put my girlfriend to work and plasti dip the trim and kidney grill

I like what you did so far. I would also plasti dip the silver "splitters" on your front bumper if you are going to keep the trim and grill black. Also, did you use anything to plug the front license plate holes? I tried taking mine off the the holes are so big and obvious.

Thanks, but yea I'm looking to swap the bumper covers out soon. The holes in my bumper are hardly noticeable, so plugs weren't needed for my bumper.

So this happened today

Word to the wise, stay away from plastidip

Had to go see these guys

Took care of me & had me back on my feet in no time

Yes this is the joy I see in this situation cause I have to replace it anyway so why not upgrade... My only dilemma I whether or i want to go through my insurance. The passenger side taillight is cracked as well so that puts me in the market of looking for euro spec lci's now.

Fuck that sucks. I park on the street, so every day I find new dings on my front or rear bumper. Feel your pain. Nice color though

Word I went for a quote at a family friend & well reputable body shop out here, and they basically told me they'll take care of it, but the mtech bumper for the e92 just looks so bllllaahhhhh compared to the e90 version. And the price straight from the stealership is crazy lol. Plus if I do the rear then I must do the front

Really sorry about what happened but as mentioned...M-Tech rear!
Also, you don't have to get the front/rear(would look complete though) but IMO even with just the rear your car will still look really good. I think that there's been a few members on here that have just done the rear.

Anyways thanks for sharing the build and I luvvv the color of your car!

Thanks man, I see what your saying as well, m tech bumper is coming for sure & will be matched with a 1m front. This incident has put the brakes on my suspension & wheel combo I had planned for next year

To me personally the only e92 that looked good with the 1m bumper was Neema's but thats probably because of his widebody and m3 hood other then that it looks great on e90s without any other supporting mods.
