* EDIT * Were you wondering how OC would get to LA in 15 minutes? Here is your answer:
"slack time my friend....if people are ready to leave by 7 then that means people will show up ON TIME....we've had problems with people showing up late and missing the caravan every single year...so this year we've taken out the time to give you some slack time knowing that OC/SD will probably not be right on time, but we'd like you to be just in case things go perfectly...unfortunatley i cannot control the weather/traffic/other obstacles that might get in the way....if people know we're leaving at 7... then they'll show up at 705...and if they get there at 705 rather than 7...then thats okay becuase realistically we're (LA) not leaving til about 715-725 when oc/sd actually get there...this also makes good timing becuase bimmerfest doors dont open until 9AM"

oh damn, ok............hmm.

What we need to do is create a check point for people in LA to meet, with a certain time as well. Probably about an hour after our irvine check point so that by the time you guys are ready to meet in LA, we'll be there.

I think the village coffee roasters in the El Camino Shopping Center (Woodland Hills/Calabasas) would be a good spot for the SFV guys to meet up. Its 101 freeway close and the lot is big enough to be a stop along the way for OC/SD people.

we met there for the nor cal vs. so cal euro show (in SB) a few years back and it worked out really well. anyone else have a better idea?

Yeah... we need a valley meet-up. Either there or in Westlake Village or off the 23/101 somewhere (The Oaks Mall?).

So, heres what we officially need:

A San Diego origin meeting point

OC meeting point (pretty sure it will be at the Spectrum though)

Valley meeting point (probably the El comino center)

LA meeting point

Does that cover it for people? I think those are enough check points, and in places that are close enough to pretty much every region of So Cal

You all need to chime in so that we can select meeting points that work for everyone. So I need people from San Diego to let me know where they'd like to meet, as well as people in LA. I'm pretty sure that OC will be fine with meeting at the Irvine Spectrum

So, for Orange County, how does the Irvine Spectrum sound?

San Diego should leave promptly at 5 a.m. to be in Irvine by around 6:30

Irvine will leave at 6:30 to make it to the LA check point by 7:30

LA will leave at 7:45-8:00 as soon as everyone from Irvine and SD arrive

SF Valley will leave at 8:30 once SD, Irvine, and LA arrive

From that point on, we should arrive in Santa Barbara by 10 A.M. when the event opens

Now, we need to use the next month or two to make official meeting points that work for everyone
Let's meet near Best Buy coz there's like 4 members live north of spectrum, i.e. on the way to LAX

unless you guys wanna take 405 up.

I suggest best buy, then 5, 22, 405, then LAX

I suggest The Block at Orange. It's more central OC than the Spectrum, and being near the Crush it's accessible via 3 different freeways.

BTW Neema, or whoever is setting this up.

There should be 1 mature carvan leader, that will lead, speed, and slow down the carvan so everyone is together, and he needs to make sure no one speeds up, weaves in and out or cause any sort of trouble or attention.

basicaly need to wait for the slow, and need to make speeders slow down. otherwise i cant afford another ticket this year
