Road Atlanta 12/1

Friday at Road Atlanta and a new personal best. Dropped 2.4 seconds with my new Drexel LSD over the Wavetrac.

Do you attribute the time difference solely to the LSD swap? Not a passive aggressive question, I have no idea about the details of your lap times (years apart, other changes, whatever). Just struck me that changing LSDs would give literally seconds.

My last trip there was in March. The Wavetrac never did what I thought it should. There was only a .5 sec difference between OEM open and the Wavetrac, no other changes. I could not get the power down any different coming out of several turns. Randy Probst said the same thing with the unit installed in his 740 Volvo, his is one wheel peel mostly. So the new LSD was the difference. I was able to carry more speed, and get the power down much earlier.

Interesting... thanks for the info. I would have thought all LSDs were within a stone's throw of each other, but that's clearly not the case.

Did you look at other brands before you landed on Drexel?

I believe 6k lbs? I have a hitch, so she's ready for tow duty. Now the only thing missing is a finished track car... just a minor detail though
