Zimmermann or meyle rotors should be good enough for the buck. Sometimes also Brembo are cheap enough. In my personal opinion (and installed right now) slotted-drilled rotors make no difference other than look (and $).

This question probably came out on the forum million times. But I'll ask it again - dunno if the problem is with O2 sensors or not. I had SES light for couple month and car kept throwing O2 sensor errors in DME. I tried to reset it but it would come back again sometimes after fueling up, sometimes randomly. My tank cap was replaced last winter so it shouldn't be a problem. I ordered new O2 sensors, but suddenly SES light disappeared by itself (without even erasing error from PC) and now everything seems fine. The question is are O2 sensors dying? Should I preventatively replace those or not bother if no errors?
Car has almost 60k miles on it and I mostly prefer to put Shell premium gas. Can it be that some junk finally burned through the engine system and it cleaned itself? Opinions and suggestions welcomed!

O2 sensors are an emissions component and should be under warranty at your mileage (still). If you can pull a code and confirm it's a sensor code, it should be repairable at the dealership at no charge to you. Then return the parts you bought for a refund. if the failure is intermittent, there are some codes that are allowed to be cleared by SW after so many key cycles.

Oh wow that sounds like a great news. Did I understand correct that even if my car is not CPO and I'm well over 5 yr/50k miles then BMW required to keep warranty on emission parts 8yr/80k under the EPA rules? If so, my car is more than 8 yr old and might not qualify...

Intro I suppose

Let's see if it will let me post yet...

I haven't seen an intro section anywhere, so I'm posting here.

ust picked up an '07 SGM 335i 6MT a few days back. It's my first BMW.

Mostly stock and has a few little goodies: BMS DCI, some ///M valve stem caps, a CF lip spoiler, and a massive boost leak.

And while it may sound twincharged, pay no attention because that's just the PS pump hating life.

I'll post up some pics when I get service again.

Thanks man! I'm almost 100% sure it's PS, and since I haven't found one anywhere, maybe I'll do a writeup and contribute a little bit.

Please do, if you're feeling charitable. I'm interested.

First post

so this is my first post on e90 after visiting the forum for a while now.
This is my second bmw I had a 2001 330ci before. I've had my e92 for about year now I got it at with 70k miles

It's a 2008 335xi AT transmission just hit 80k , mostly stock so far for performance I only added BMS DCI.
I been considering a JB4 , vrsf DP and FMIC package for a while.
Snowtime and total cost is the only thing stopping me since I'm having my first baby in a month!
I had to fix water pump and a coil pack last month. Around $1500 at Bloomfield for both.
Would the install void the HPFP warranty ??
And does anyone know a good place to have the DP and FMIC installed and estimated cost?
I live Downriver in Allen Park
Rod.

You'll be fine with the hpfp warranty if you go to Farmington Hills dealer. They don't care for the mods I have done. Also, message me I'll give you Phil's information for the cost of installing the DP and FMIC. He did my DP for a super cheap great price. He's well known on FB and through others on here.

How is the local car scene around here? Are there any good weekly meetups or local forums, aside from Xceed?

Anyone around the Royal Oak area have INPA and is willing to code an injector for me or know someone who has it? I will be doing the swap in my garage here shortly so it would be an even bigger help if you could swing by. Thanks in advance!

Got my pre-cat O2 sensors replaced, no more SES light!
I have an extra 17099 Bosch sensor, absolutely new in the box $130 and Powerbuilt 648691 Oxygen Sensor Offset Puller if needed. PM me if interested.

Can anyone suggest a good place to do alignment?
I've called 3-4 places in East Lansing - all of them are telling me that BMWs require special tool and pre-loading therefore I should only get alignment done at the dealership. But the price to align at the dealership is nuts... Any advice appreciated!

Would anyone like a K+DCAN cable compatible with 2008 or earlier BMWs? It is not the "green one" that is needed for 2009 or newer. My loss is your gain.
