LCI front indicator stopped working
2010 LCI E91, neon adaptive headlight with the LED indicators.
went to pull away today and flicked on the right indicator and the bulb warning went off..... prayed it was the side indicator but its the front LED one now before i order one for about £200 i did see a post referencing dry solder joints....? has anyone had any joy with that route? tbh i've not even check the fuses or given it a visual yet as it horrible outside at the minute and the other indicators are all working fine, although right are going fast. just before xmas too fault code is A8B1 (forgot the discription) All the best! That error code is A8B1 - Direction indicator, front right, faulty (footwell module)
I would look at the frm controller for a loose or damaged wire, then check the headlight wiring and follow the wiring as best you can to see if it is corrosion (remember they are doing recalls on bmw’s at the mo for battery wiring becoming corroded in the engine bay) If it is the bulb then try these guys they are doing 20% off over the Xmas period https://www.powerbulbs.com/store/cat...bs/fitting/d1s Last edited by R3tribut10n; 12-16-2018 at 07:10 AM.. Had a quick look on that site but there just bulbs, the LCI indicator is an LED module with a heatsink and controller on it quite the lump! found it on carparts4less after a lot of searching for £118.45 which is the best i can find in the UK but also that i can get this week being xmas and all. also the joy of the Euro car parts chains are that i can return it easily if its doesn't fix the issue. if its not that i'll go the fault finding route. fuses are fine which i thought they would be. yeah i do need that recall done soon now they have parts in stock. everything else FRM wise seems fine though so fingers crossed! |

New module fixed it thankfully.
£118 from car parts for less and the box showed up, it’s a BMW part with the stickers, result! Massive saving over buying it from BMW |
