thanks for all the support guys, it was tough, we put her down sunday morning around 12:20am, we got an ultrasound on sat and basically it started off as a tumor in the spleen, the cancer spread to her liver and various other parts, the tumor in the spleen ended up bursting and she was bleeding badly internally, she was having trouble breathing and lost all control of her nerves basically. doc told us that she would eventually suffocate to death and we didn't want that for her.. toughest decision of my life... but we decided to end her suffering, first time in a long time that my whole family was back together.. first time in my 25 years of living that I've ever seen my dad cry, he didn't even tear up with his parents died (they weren't that close) but damn it was emotional.. goldy (my dog's name) is in a better place now where she won't have to suffer anymore but she will be dearly missed.

I suggested my mom to get another dog but my mom says there is no way she could deal with losing another dog again so we're probably not going to do it

once again thanks for all the support guys, I don't want to turn this into a downer thread so let's all just celebrate the lives of our pets today! if you have a dog or cat or any pet give them an extra hug for me today, they won't be around forever

Wow. So sorry for your loss. I've been wanting to have a dog since I was a kid (my family always wound up getting cats), and there are times that the only thing I miss about living with my former roommate was his dog (heck, we were so close he'd hang out with me more often than his master), so although I can't speak from experience of dog ownership, I can vicariously see how tough it is. Hope your dog is in a better place.

Went on a couple of dates, really liked the one I went out with Saturday night so after some tea I took her to Balboa Island, hope things work out ... I think I wouldn't have gone this far if I still had my dad's inherited pickup LMAO. Last night I went to a friend's birthday party, had barbecue and even homemade Indian food. I know the feeling, I've been kinda reckless with my weight since my dad's passing 3 months ago, but I'm pretty much over it. On the 30th there is a weight loss competition that my company is hosting, so hopefully I can get rid of the 15 lbs I put on and then some... I'm starting to have to use the last loop of my belt

Oh, and the pics from Balboa Island came out so lousy it's not worth posting (I love my DROID RAZR Maxx HD but the "HD" is a bit misleading in low light situations lol), but here is a pic of her... Also a couple from the event (wish she could've made it but I'm not expecting much from the day after a first date LOL), which includes my ugly mug singing karaoke .

Well for one, she's still cuter than my ex, especially since she cut her hair almost-ear-length one day by surprise, and I LOVE longer hair (minimum shoulder length); frickin' looked like Sméagol with smoother complexion ... Guess who left her a week later (due to other reasons of course)?

Second, she looks even better in person, not to mention I saw a status update where was actually thinking about a makeover , and even borderline insisted on buying my diet product when the subject of me being 50 lbs heavier before came up (true story)... But she has a nice personality (which TBH I care about more than looks), very goal-oriented yet supportive (PERFECT companion for self-employed people like me), and just between me and E90Post , I'm a boob man and she's got a good set .
