getting my gf a cla250, going into the dealership today after work, I told him not to contact me or ask me to go in unless he can give me a deal, so here's his chance, if he blows it i'm going elsewhere

As soon as you walk into a dealership to negotiate, they already have the upper hand. Its best to negotiate online. No BS. No back and forth. No "I'm walking" just to have them call you back inside to start all over again.

Send an email to the internet manager. Name your price. If they take it, go to the dealership and start the paperwork. If they don't, move on to the next dealer.

Not sure how old you are but your age prob has to do with it also. Nobody took me seriously either, even though I did all my research and had my numbers down to the penny.

Maybe go out of state?

I went to 5 dealerships in person and nobody would cut me a deal. I did the get-up-walk-out-the-door-trick, well it wasn't a trick, but it got me some way better deals but still not what I wanted. But it took me 2-3 hours of listening to same bullshit before I even could pull the get-up-walk-out-the-door shindig. They need to feel invested in the deal to care about losing you.

I would avoid walk-ins. I got way better deals from internet sales through email. Since people can't judge you based on your age/how you dress/etc or even detect your tone through your emails.

Bah, I'll only go into dealerships to test drive/look at the car or to pick up the car.

Shopping a new car is an ordeal

Anyway, for me, I found my car in Dallas.

Doubt you'll get any deals on the CLA250 right now. Some are charging a small premium (ior force you to get additional options) and when the AMG model comes out it will most likely be a $5K to $10K premium. They're selling extremely well without any haggling. And I agree especially at luxury car dealerships bargaining can be a pain. I think it's time to move on and shop around some more.

yea you're right on that, all the dealerships I've spoke to are asking msrp, I may be able to get 2 purchased though so i'm hoping that will try to motivate them to give me a better deal to sell 2
