I would think it would work fine. Do you have the BavTec tool? I ask because my lightweight battery was not charging properly. The battery was fine, and I could fully charge it with a Battery Tender, but the car would not properly charge it (under-charging by a good amount). I had to use the BT tool (enthusiast version) to reset the battery adaption. Now the car charges the battery fully all the time.

To do the adaption reset with the BT tool, all you do is:

Engine Module, Commands, Battery Replacement Adaption, Click Send Button.

Thanks - very helpful - after my Power up mods (larger turbos, newer ic And dps -
i May just do lite battery And lighter exhaust.
