if you go with 08 at the front, make sure to go with something with less bite/friction coefficient at the rear. I had a lot of brake instability from using 08 on all four corners in one season, where the rear end just keeps on stepping out from too much rear brake bias every time I brake over 0.7g. Quit a handful when you are slowing down from 140-150mph on some of the high speed tracks.

The problem weren't there back when I was still using pfc01 compound on the front and ebc yellow at the rear (the car actually brakes faster in that setup) and went away after i switch to BBK and started using coblat XR2 on the front axle.

Brake ducts are definetly ideal with a track pad. Track pads will generate a lot more heat which a lot of people don't realize. Yes they handle heat well, but that greater braking coefficient also produces more of it. Hence the need for ducts and high temp brake fluid.
tried that, doesn't help a whole lot with stock calipers and rotors. the brakes will still get hot enough that you start getting conically distortion on these stock style 1 piece rotor.

That's good to know. I just put PFC08's up front. They grab like crazy once HOT. Dust actually seems less than Stocktech sport. They do squeal pretty loud though in traffic when they are warm.

Still on stock rear pads, but I have PFC08 for back there too when I get a chance.

Off topic but I actually down graded from BMW Performance pads to regular street TRW pads and surprisingly the pads are holding up great. I have done two events. They wear out fast but aren't really overheating. They are compatible will all F chassis 4 piston Brembo calipers and are cheap. Paid $85 delivered.

When you say Performance pads do you mean aftermarket or does BMW offer a "Performance" line pad (like the performance exhaust)?

Like the performance exhaust, they have total of 4 pads for those calipers: regular, sport, performance and M. I'm talking about BMW pads.

Happen to have the part numbers for performance and regular?
