2FA3 fix after msd80 -> msd81 upgrade

Hi,
I've replaced the msd80 to msd81 (with the latest software version) and now it's showing the 2FA3 error. It's N53 e93 euro car.

I found an article about how remove this error by resetting DME to factory defaults:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...highlight=2fa3

Is resetting to default factory settings for the ECU ( From another car ) is safe?
Will it preserve the VIN number and the CAS module connection?

I'm just worried that the ECU is from a different car (with different CAS and Vin by default).

Also I have both INPA/NCS and ISTA + K-Dcan cable. What software is better for this task and what would be the steps to not damage anything.

Thanks in advance!
