2012 BMW 318D - 20,000 miles

Charge Pressure errors.

Every few journeys the amber dash light appears. ISTA shows error 04862.

If I do not clear error the light will go off during one of the next few journeys and stay off for several journeys.

ISTA seems to have told me a few times that I have a faulty Charge / Boost pressure sensors?

I replaced the sensor twice with used sensors then a new one form Autodoc.

Each replacement seemed to delay errors for longer but same error always returns.

On being told again that I have a faulty sensor I have ordered another one, but I am not confident it will give a long term fix.

Note As you can see this is a very low mileage car which does very short journeys. A long fast run keeping the revs high does not solve the problem.

Any advice / comments?
