I just had my car over at Minnetonka the other day also. My car was making some weird noises when you took hard turns at low speeds... took a tech for a drive and apparently it was because the M Diff isn't broken in all the way (car already has 13k on it?? go figure), so they put some different diff fluid in there and the problem is gone...

I wasn't due for an oil change for another 2500 miles and I've had the car for just over a year and they went ahead and did it for me and reset the service interval... So MAYBE they'll do it every year for you?

I agree. It is a great idea. My car is about a year and 2 months old and I have barely any rock chips at all.

Good part about the place I went to, if you ever have any issues with the clear bra with it peeling or something like that (not that you ever would, I haven't yet), they have a lifetime warrenty on the product and they'll fix it free of charge.

Thanks.
Hey Anvar,
I've been doing 7.5K oil changes since I purchased my car 3 yrs ago. It just gives me piece of mind. If believe if there was indeed an oil that could last for 15k miles (as BMW suggests), it would be marketed to the entire auto industry...

Any way MW charges about $100 for the oil changes in between the scheduled services

Thanks for the responses guys, I am kind of in a weird spot. I did my first oil change at 3.5k miles (just one after the break-in period) and I figured from now on I would do 2 a year to kind of coincide with the seasons. So I will do one in september and then one next April I guess.

Does this sound good?

New to the forum

Hey everyone. Although I've been reading threads on the forum for a few weeks, just became a member and this is my first post. Some great cars out here in the Minneapolis area. I've included a few pics of mine.

Any chance one of you guys were going east bound in a "blue" i dont want to list the possible color options right now, in a e90 or e92 on I394 around 8pm? If so, it looked really nice from the opposite lane.

Came across this in the UK sub-forum and had a little chuckle. This is the most popular form of motorsport where I come from and it shows how irritated an Irish rally driver can become

Contains some very bad language!

That was me! I saw you too. It was right near ridgedale wasn't it?

Nice. I like your ride as well.

When and where? Muscle cars and dyno runs? Sounds like a great time. If its earlier, I can make it. I have a wedding to go to in the later afternoon (girlfriend is maid of honor, I would be shot if I missed it)

I never had any communications when I was due a service, so it may be an iDrive only thang. Sounds like a cool feature though.

lol, it's a tough call, I did get a good price from Art's contact, so I have some thinking to do. Who knows, since I started using my car as a daily driver, I have become a little less anal retentive - you should see my exhaust tips today

I'm with you man, I actually quite like the yellow stock corona rings. I like the contrast with the xenons when the headlights are on. These new ones sure do draw attention though, much more so than Audi or MB. Either way I won't have a choice with the new one!
