FS: 335is Muffler / Cat Back Exhaust

Selling the muffler off a 2012 335is. I only drive my car in the summer, so it's still in a pretty good condition.

The part highlighted in white is a rattle fix that works 100%. It's threaded in.

Located in Mississauga, ON.

$800 CAD

Sorry to tell you this but your exhaust is not nearly close to worth $900. It is not a genuine BMW performance exhaust.... which only goes for 700. You will be lucky to get $250.

Ask me how I know....

Thanks for the feedback. I priced it based on the going price for the BMW performance exhaust in the US, since the Canadian market is non-existent. $700-$750 US is around $950-$1000 Cad.

Also, I called BMW dealership for pricing:
335is mufflers: $1,900 + tax CAD
Performance mufflers: $1,400 + tax CAD, and you can't get it anymore

There are plenty of discussions on this forum comparing the IS and performance exhaust, but please don't discuss it here. This is a For Sale post.

Anyways, pictures added.

LMAO FYI if you're trying to sell something in a non existing market what makes you think someone will pay the US price

Also BMW Performance exhaust and 335is exhaust are not the same. Even the dealership will tell you that. And I have no idea what Stearlership you called but not a single person will walk in there and buy a 335is exhaust for 1400 lol. Its a stock piece not a performance exhaust.

Anyways you must be new here.... Good luck with sale.

Yeah but I thought the IS exhaust was better than the M exhaust. And from the dealer price it seems like it is.

THE IS exhaust is not better than a Genuine BMW Performance exhaust. Higher price doesn't always mean its better. Also the IS exhaust is probably 1900 because no one wants it and they have to order a service one from Germany lol.

Look up the performance exhaust part number. It is not the same as the IS exhaust and sounds half as good as the IS

When I did research the IS one sounded better and had a unique sound since it was different than PE.

You are all forgetting to mention that no one needs an IS exhaust, let alone a stock one. Is the IS a better exhaust than the 335 or the genuine PE?

NO it's not, it just sounds different.

It's all stainless, and lasts forever. people buy a genuine PE because it sounds amazing, not because it's "better" and since you can make a PE exhaust for like $200 or less if you can weld, why would anyone pay 900 for an IS one?

The rattle is when you start the car, and hear a tin sound for the first 30s or so. It's the exhaust flap vibrating. It usually happens when the flap is closed, so people with golf T mod will not hear it.

This fix adds a weight at the bottom to stabilize it.

I agree completely. The PE exhaust is the real deal and so much better and that I have seen used go for $500-700.
LMAO this guy wants $900 because he read somewhere on the internet and called a stealership for pricing.

Shit I thought this was my issue until you said people with open valve won't hear it.

I've got this really high rattle noise for like 3 seconds on start ups.

You might hear it when it's open too. Have someone start the car while you're behind looking where the noise is coming from.

The exhaust will last forever and also is not being fabricated any longer.

900 for any muffler is a bit much though
