Over two months and no license plate

I bought my car on July 22, 2006 and still have not received my license plates. I have contacted the dealer but nobody answers their phone. I have left many messages but nobody has contacted me. How long is the temp license thing on the window good for? Should I escalate this to BMWNA?

By the way I am in California and bought my car from Irvine BMW.

You need to chase after your CA. Check with the dealer, they usually have a specific department/staff to handle the tags. Possibly, their 'your-tags-are-in' mailer cards may have gotten lost in the mail.

Cool, you bought your car on my birthday! How you are liking it even without tags?

Call the License & Titleling clerk at your dealership to find out what's taking so long or is that normal wait time ?

2-months it's typical in California. I believe the temp tags are good for 90-days.

I called the person at the dealership who deals with the DMV and she said that it usually takes 90 days for plates to come in. The temp sticker on the window is good for as long as you have it there, which I think is a bunch of crap.

My mom and brother (Honda and Toyota) got their plates in within 5-6 weeks so I think she is full of it.

I purchased my BMW in June 2006 and received my license plates 3 weeks later. Shortly thereafter, I ordered personalized plates that it took 2 1/2 months Just picked them up yesterday at the DMV Try contacting the DMV and see if your plates have been made. (Side note) All California license plates are made by inmates at Folsom State Prison :-)
