Wet RCD Module from clogged sunroof drains

The dash lights went nuts yesterday on our 328xiT. I couldn't pull any codes, so off to the dealer it went. They said that RCD Module (Tire Pressure Sensor) module was soaking wet from clogged sunroof drains, and it affected communications between all of the modules. They cleaned the sunroof drains, replaced the sunroof gasket, replaced the RDC module, and all is well now. Even with a BMW CCA discount on the parts, this repair cost over $1,000.

I have never seen a procedure for cleaning sunroof drains, but it sounds like it should be part of a periodic maintenance procedure.
