2AEC Error Code
So I've had my car for a few weeks now, maybe six weeks or so and I've come across my first issue.
I got in the car on Friday morning. It started fine but I noticed that the idle was very lumpy. Fluctuating revs and when cold there was a severe lack of power, it was like there was a flat spot between 2 and 3k and then all the power came at once. After 10 minutes or so the car was fine. I parked the car up and about 5 hours later I got back in the car and the problem was still there, although not as bad. I took it to a local indie that I know who used a code reader on the car and it came back with: 2AEC - Nitrogen Oxide Sensor Self Diagnosis. He cleared the code and I've since driven the car a couple of times since and the problem hasn't re-appeared. I don't now if it is connected but the day before the car had said it was low on oil so I topped it up with a litre of Castrol LL04 approved oil. I've got the car booked in to a specialist on Thursday to take a better look at the car and try to diagnose the problem but does anyone know what this error code means? I've not been able to find much about it using Google.
