N55 Larger Turbo Options?
Has anyone been brave enough to pull the trigger on a larger turbo setup such as the pte6266 or larger with the N55 motors?? I thought I read something about Vargas or someone else testing a larger setup. I know tuning/fuel has been a road block for most.. but someone must be close or near...
Anyone know? I have seen a few good deals to pick up a divided 6266 for solid price so it peaks my interest. Thoughts?

thats going to be a lot more than 850 when said and done. to take full advantage of a turbo that size PI will need to be in the mix, if you run low enough boost you can get by with meth or TB injection but then youre going to lag pretty hard and have no TQ. that custom manifold is going to be pricy too. just some food for thought

Manifold, turbo, etc. sure might add up to more.. Thats not a problem. The problem is the current turbo and even upgraded internals on the stock turbo platform gets maxed out with efficiency and performance vs. upgrading entire setup.
Manifolds are not hard to come by nowadays. Fuel of course is something that will be considered as well. Meth is not necessary for all applications :-) |

Depends how much hp you want. Less than 600, a Pure stage 2 is all you need. More than that you will need to go custom manifold and downpipe. Looking 5-7 grand, people that spend that money normaly have a N54.

I would think that you could adopt the Motiv kit to N55 pretty easily if you get them to weld a N55 flange on it. The water pipe is probably different too, but that could be fabbed.

Very impressive Newguy123 . Were they running low boost? Seems like probably similar to the ~22psi.

the blue 750 was on kill mode 698rwhp but it was really hot that day and i think he was having some overheating issues. also no meth while i do so his IAT were prob crazy high. either way though the PURE has a lot of respectable runs under its belt. i would love to see a stage 3 custom N55 but tuning needs to catch up before that can really be pushed IMO

On 93 alone, I don't think its possible unless we are talking port injection as well, with an upgraded lpfp. We also need a hpfp, the n54 have an upgrade their too that can run 100% e85.
