I've noticed the door seals, or what sound slike door seals, on my '11 335D creak and groan any time the chassis is subject to the slightest twist or bend force, such as going in to a driveway or over a speedbump. All 4 doors seem to creak/groan, which I assumed was dry or unlubricated seals. So I bought a bottle of Gummi Pfledge and treated them all (on the doors and on the chassis) and assumed it would go away; it didn't. There's no discernable change at all. Anyone else experience this? It's driving me nuts!

The felt part of the inside weather strip at the top of the door is doing it, when dry it creaks against the paint. You can tell if the door is closed and you push on the top part of the weather strip from the outside you can replicate the creaking noise.

I tried the same stuff you did as well as quick wax and it would come back within the week. I tried an actual sealant, Blackfire wet diamond and the creaking goes away for months. I applied it to the felt but I'm guessing applying it to the actual paint that it's rubbing against will also work. Try applying a layer of sealant or real wax if you have some and see how that goes.

I feel your pain because it was driving me nuts for months. Sounded like I was in a wooden ship.

Haha that's exactly what it sounds like! I will try the wax tip, it makes a lot of sense. I've got tons laying around so it'll be easy.

I waxed the door frames last night and it seems to have solved the problem. Thanks!

I use WD-40 and it works, applying wax on rubber is not good idea I guess???

It's a felt material on the inside of the weather stripping only at the top that is rubbing on paint that causes it, not the rubber seals. I applied it to the felt but obviously looking back it makes more sense to apply to the paint that it is contacting with. I've heard of others just cleaning the felt really well and that apparently works too.

WD-40 is a technically a solvent and would be harmful to rubber seals.

The wax is applied to the paint on the inside of the door frames where either the felt or rubber seals touch the painted surface, not to the felt or rubber itself.

Not exactly, use this and it is safe on rubber, plastic and vinyl

$50 for a single vial??? F that lol. I used about $0.01 worth of wax and it achieved perfect results. I'm happy.

Still have yet to find a long term solution for this. I have noticed applying wax to the shadowline trim fixes the creaking for a few weeks......but it always comes back. Gummi pflege on the seals made no difference at all. Maybe ceramic coat the trim pieces? Anyone have better/other solutions to the wooden ship creek noise from the doors?

Have been putting up with this on my E90 and F30 for years. Tried silicone spray, nope. Then genuine BMW silicone remover to clean it off. Had the most success with gummi pflege, but still comes back eventually.

I ceramic coated all of mine (3 E90s with shadowline), It helps and its now to the point where I honestly notice it at all but its still there sometimes going in and out of uneven driveways

Mine were getting creaky again. This time I’ve just scrubbed the living daylights out of the seals, felt and mating surfaces with the Genuine BMW Silicone Cleaner (used neat on a microfibre towel) and all is quiet again. I haven’t added anything else at all.
