Headlight Lens Sealant

I am replacing my OE crazed (inside the lens) headlights with new DEPO units. Overkill to seal the new units prior to installation? Any recommendations? TIA.

Maybe a dumb question but...will that work? Using the same stuff you'd buy for paint?

I have a friend who is a pro detailer and I've seen him clean and ceramic coat all suspensions components (looked awesome on an old 70's 6 series) but not headlights.

I ceramic coated my headlights prior to installing them and I'm glad I did. They still look brand new after winter, salt and all.

I put a cerakote ceramic treatment on them last year, and periodically treat them with Griot's ceramic 3-in-1. The combo works very well.
