In the instruction manual that came with my My11 335i convertible, it says that when the doors are locked, the globe box will lock as well.

On mine it appears to just have a regular mechanical glovebox latch. It can be opened even with the doors locked. Is this something that got deleted somewhere along the way, or has someone fitted a non standard lid? There doesn't appear to be an airbag in it either.

Airbag in the glove box??? Have not heard of that before

With mine you have to press the lock button twice to activate the electronic glovebox. Never heard of an airbag there.
