Help Identifying this part please!!

Hey guys, so recently I replaced my waterpump and tstat. The other day, I had a major coolant leak. I thought maybe I didn't put a hose on there tight enough or the quick connects didnt' fully sit (I hate those quick connects btw). Today, I went under the car and all the hoses are fine. Put some distilled water to try and see where it was coming from. A gush of water poured out from up top. Went to find that a hose was completely disconnected and found that the plastic part that connects the hose broke off. I believe it's the tstat hose that connects to the cylinder head that's right under the oil filter housing. So, I see that where the broken plastic piece that connects the hose had 2 bolts and removed that piece. My question is, what is this part called? Pictures for reference. Thanks!

Edit: Sorry for the HUGE Pics

The vernacular for the part that failed is called the Mickey Mouse flange. You can buy aftermarket replacements that are aluminum. If the hose is fine, you can replace just the flange or you can buy a replacement hose+flange. It's a pretty common failure on the N5x.

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...e-rein-chc0609

The site also has the flange/hose combo.

Good ole Mickey Mouse flange.
As already stated, get aluminum one. Since you are at it, change coolant reservoir.

Another question, though is why is your coolant orange or red? Looks like you're using the wrong type.

I always use BMW blue coolant that you have to mix. That orange tint I believe is residue of dirt after trying to wash off the flange. Was looking for a part number or something.
