Music import from USB

2013 BMW 328xi coupe, I think car has 20 or 30gb hard drive (if someone can correct this). Either way i tried to download music collection to hard drive after maybe 30% download completed system says memory full and can't download the rest. So ballpark estimate maybe 6-7gb of music downloaded and system full.
Is there other things share this total memory car has? (Maybe Navigation?)
I don't know where else to look.
Thanks guys

Go to the idrive subforum .
Some people there where upgrading to a flash drive I think I can remember.
Could be an hard limit of the idrive system to.

Displaying free disk space

Display free disk space on the music hard disk.

"MEDIA"

"Music collection"

Press the Option button.

"Manage music collection"

"Available memory"

Also this is the e series board.

I checked and it shows 12gb of 30gb available, is that means navigation uses the rest of the memory?

You got to talk to the idrive guys on the idrive sub forum about that.
I would think anything left would mean available but I could be wrong.

The link is in the first reply I sent you .

the actual hdd size is 80gb, and navigation is using space not allocated to media
so for music you have 20 gb
but usually someone before you already uploaded some music, you can try to delete collections before uploading yours
