H11 HID Foglight kits <$100 - CHEAP!

Has anyone seen those cheap HID H11 conversion kits on ebay? There are quite a few <$100 shipped. Anyone had any experience or opinions?

What's so special about the $250-$300 kits, anyway?

Better quality. Had cheaper HID kits on my R6 and they were crap. So I put a McCulloch kit on it and it has lasted 2 years and still bright as hell.

You get what you pay for, why would HID's be any different?

What's so special about a BMW anyway?

Okay, but what, specifically, is so much better about the $300 kits that justify their price premium? I mean, if the bulb wattage/color temp is the same, and the ballast lights the bulb, what exactly makes a kit cost $200 more, besides retailer markup? ...or is this just the "it costs more, therefore it's better" adage?

The bulbs last longer, provide a better color, and the ballasts are going to be better quality. Again, last longer, more reliable etc.

I mean a quality set of HID bulbs cost more than $100, there's no way they can offer the same quality for 1/3 the cost.
