if you're going to put eyelids on you might as well go the whole way and paint over the entire headlight lens.

they are on sale now though if you want them

Those are Luminics JDM yellows. Best yellow bulbs i've tested.

85s included! and knowing you ksfrogman, you have a very good taste for a car so you are an exception even if you are a teen.
where did you get the bulbs from?
Thanks

For me eyelids are fine, but not on AW. Sorry i see the picture in your sig and the eylids look out of place. Now if you had an all black or maybe grey as some members do. Then it looks great and flows better.

So I guess I will say no but depending on the color it can work. Not to mention I like the headlights and feel they have that mean look. Usually people get eyelids to have that mean look so can seem like overkill.

There are different type of eyelids. Mattig and Hamann ones look different.

I had the Hamann ones on my car almost exactly one year ago, but later decided to play it safe with the OEM look.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...%2Fm-sport

In my mind's eye, I feel the original designer's intent was to give the E90 a flowing, sculpted look, with smooth long lines that traverse the car. The E46 was more of a blocky design, similar to that of the E36, but with rounded corners and flared wheel wells. The Hamann lids have small arcs that don't emulate the long, flowing sculpted lines of the car.

Well, that's my two cents. On the other hand, I still think it doesn't look bad. The fact that it blocks some of the amber reflector on U.S. cars makes it more appealing.

I would not put them on. They do seem a bit "rice", but...personal preference is ...be content with it, don't modify - they look great from the factory.

Of course i'm speaking from experience with modding a e36 m3...in the end, I shouldn't have done anything with it. 335 will see no mods. - Maybe this makes me biased, just my opinion.

It depends though, the picture above looks fine. I wouldn't make fun of it if I saw this mod done. Just not something I would do.

Now I believe the above ones are Mattig, aren't they? Those look smooth and more simple.

The only reason they look ok on black is because you can barely see them.

That right, because you can barely see them (= not over mod ) and reducing the orange part is the main reason for me to have the lid as I hate the orange part and don't want to spend $$$$ for new front lights.

Thanks for pointing that out 2++
