2011 335is - rear driver's side wheel rubbing noise issue
Hey guys, I started noticing this issue maybe 2-3 months ago, but deemed it minor. It only happens at low speeds 5-10 mph. It is almost constant, but is loudest at a certain part of the rotation. When at normal speeds, I don't even notice it. From what I recall, it used to be louder, and has quieted down a bit.
Here's a quick vid: Rotor heat/brake shield warped? Bad wheel bearing? Rock stuck somewhere? E-brake boot loose? Possibly related: I have been getting intermittent TPMS malfunction errors (usually on the highway). Could the TPMS sensor be dislodged? Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance as to what this noise could be. |

Well something is definitely out of place) Put it on jack and take the wheel off. Im sure you will be able to see something bent/loose/whatever. Im sure it will be easy fix.

TPMS malfunction is probably a sensor going bad. If you can pull the codes it should tell you which wheel. The tire shop scanners won't necessarily read it as bad. Discount Tire did one of mine for $65 installed.
They'd probably throw the car on a lift for free and check out the rub for you while you're there. |
