Brake Flush Procedure Recommendation?

Hi all,

Planning on flushing my brakes this week as part of preventative maintenance. I picked up a pressure bleeder as well as the BMW INPA software to perform the bleed that way. Is there any recommendation or preference for which route to go? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Never used INPA for a normal brake flush, so can't speak to that. Pressure bleeder works wonders though. I just use it to apply air pressure to the reservoir so I don't have to clean it...

Suck all the old fluid out of the reservoir with a turkey baster, replace with new, pressurize, and then go from farthest-to-closest wheel, bleeding until the fluid is clear and bubble-less. Check the reservoir of often and depressurize/refill/repressurize as necessary. Done!

FYI don't exceed pressure of 2bar (29 Psi) when pressurizing the brake fluid tank.

You don't need to activate the pump for just a routine flush.

Aside from the good advice already given, make sure your pressure bleeder doesn't topple over and recheck the level in the pressure bleeder after each caliper. Resecure pad wear sensor cables properly also.

inpa procedure is the best way to do it. in opens and closes every zone/solenoid in the abs unit to purge all air. You will use a lot of fluid though. load up the pressure bleeder with 2 liters and runt he program. It's pretty straightforward.

Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone, I really appreciate it! I performed a pressure bleed and followed that with an INPA bleed too (more or less just out of curiosity). Everything is working perfect
