I have a Toshiba that I bought in 2013 that is in almost like-new condition. It has a 600gb hd, quad-core i7 intel processor, 8gb of ram, and a DVD burner. It features a rare 16" LED screen and I just installed a new battery a month ago. Here is a stock picture of it:
 I don't know what it's worth, but I've been trying to find a reason to get a desktop. It's not the thinnest or lightest laptop, but it sure is powerful. I run ISTA P on it.
