Best place to buy index 12 injectors?

FCP Euro seems to be the mainstay @ $1700.

Can't find any on RockAuto. Wary of Ebay injectors......

Any other recommendations?

Leebmann24 if you are in Euro. Remember to buy decoupling elements too.
Edit: scratch that. Prices gone up 100€ per piece since I bought a set

There is some vendor in the FB groups that seems to sell for 1200 for a set. Still nuts.

It sure is and just my luck...

What's the name of the FB vendor if you have it? Are these legit index 12s?

daaaaaang.. $1700 bucks now. I wonder if this is a temporary price hike due to the global pandemic or if this is going to be the new price going forward.

I was looking for them a year ago for a friend 535 and they'd gone up then. From what I gathered, BMW is enforcing some sort of agreements so you can't buy original manufactures versions in the US, making BMW branded ones the only option.

Or possibly the demand has gone up and combined with “chip shortage” created this kind of prices.

Buy only from reputable sources. I do not think third party sellers on FB, Amazon or eBay are those.

It must be BMW's planned obsolescence.

Idk how long this guy has been in business? I know he offers a lifetime warranty on injectors too, but if he's out of stock then it is what it is. At least with FCP, they will most likely be around a long time….

At $1200.00, that's probably why he's out of stock!

The dramatic price increase in E9X injectors well pre-dates COVID and chip shortages. These fuel injectors were the first BMW made for "direct injection" engine operating at waaaay higher pressure that port injectors, so the engineering was heavy duty, and already not cheap to begin with. Why BMW raised prices dramatically around 2017-18 (?) is anybody's guess.

I know people poo-poo eBay parts, but don't fixate on index-12s. If you just want your car to run fine and not push 500hp, you can by any used injectors off eBay, and for a few extra bucks send them places like InjectorRx in Houston who will clean/flow test them if they are not operating to spec. I would just make sure they were OE from BMW/Bosch.

There are index-series that were worse than others, and there are threads here that talk about that.

Nah you could find them pre-covid for a decent price relative to today. Found mine for $950 brand new from a reputable vendor although it was off ebay

I still vote FCP but the price sucks. Lucky I got mine for $800 with a lifetime warranty.

The advantage of FCP would be their lifetime replacement warranty if these injectors fail. Tischer (Silver Spring BMW) is asking $311.10 each with 12-month warranty.

https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...or-13538616079

FCP also had reman injectors listed, but they are on back order and no ETA is available. $180.49 each, and rebuilt by GB Remanufacturing (?). I do not know if reman parts are also covered under their lifetime policy.

I've brought parts off of Ebay before, SPC camber arms most recently but Im wary with the injectors since it's easier to sell fakes, etc.

My plans are for more power, right now Im just FBO and recently installed a Stage 2 LPFP in order to run more E85. Shortly thereafter I started to get the misfire in cylinder #1 and I think the new pump pushed the old injector over the edge. Plugs and coils are brand new. Right now it's just one injector but I'm sure the others can't be far behind.

I cant complain. They are index 7's on a 2009 and just turned 80k miles and about 50k of those miles have been on higher boost. It's been a good run.

Yea the remans were a great deal but like you said out of stock and no ETA. Right now my only choice is FCP but will call around locally to some dealers before I place the order.

Timing sucks because I had planned to use that $1700 elsewhere but such is life.....

I had thought of maybe just replacing one bank with 12's but seems more cost-effective and time-effective to replace all - especially with the FCP Euro kit that includes the seals and decouplers.

So I'm about 98% sure my issue is the injector in cyl #1. Getting code 29CD.
Plugs and coils have been ruled out.

Question is, would guys swap the injector from #1 into #2 and vice versa to see if the code follows or go ahead and order the index 12's since we know injectors are a known issue and mine are 7's that over 10 years old with 80k on them.

Well guys...good news and bad news. Good news is the misfire from cyl #1 followed into cyl #2 when I swapped injectors. So it's definitely the injector. Stinks I replaced all my coils and plugs when they were fairly new but you live and learn.

Bad news is I need a set of index 12's lol. I'm going to replace all six rather than just one bank.

If anyone doesn't have suggestions other than FCP Euro I'm going to order from there...ugh.
