SOLD: E90/E92 M3 LSD Differential

M3 Differential was originally refurbished by Diff Lab who installed a E36 M3 LSD with 3.25 gears and 35% lock. Since then, the differential has done 12,000kms. A new set of Racing Diffs clutches and steels with 50% lock have been installed by Diff Lapping. The diff has not been used since these clutches have been installed. My costs excluding freight have been $1,200 for purchase of E92 M3 diff, $3,600 for Diff Lab modifications i.e. E36 M3 LSD & 3.25 gear set, $600 for Racing Diffs Stage 2 Clutch Kit and $300 to install kit by Diff Lapping - $5,700. While installed in 335i, the car managed a 1.57s 60' and 10.77s run. Price $3,000 plus freight

Yes Hoper. I purchased the M3 axles and tailshaft with the diff from ASV Euro Parts. I purchased the bolts and other bits and pieces from FCP. With the tailshaft, I only used the CV joint/diff end of the M3 tailshaft and got Hardy Spicer to shorten the 335 tailshaft and weld the M3 end onto it. I measured it all up and made a diagram of the tailshaft so that Hardy Spicer new what was required. You can see by the photos below that the M3 tailshaft is thicker in areas but I found it easier to just get the CV joint end welded to the 335 tailshaft rather than shorten the transmission end of the M3 tailshaft.

A new set of Racing Diffs clutches and plates have been installed by Diff Lapping. This gives the LSD 50% lock as it now has 4 clutches compared to 3 previously.
