OBD no communication
Thanks for letting me join!
October 2007 E91 2.0i OBD Powers up, but will not connect to INPA (shows battery and ignition on) - No communication with modules Similarly, ISTA wont recognise car. Snapon Solus Ultra reads vin, no module comms. Known good cable setup - connects to E63 / E61 fine. Light comes on as usual, slide switch makes no difference. Correct power to port, 2.5v to CAN pins, good earths, good 12v. No pin damage visible, pins correctly wired. Cluster works, fuse good. Swapped JBE (junction box) with identical part number from breaker, still no joy. Everything else working perfectly. Help!! |

Cars with aftermarket tunes do not work with the normal diagnostics
till the tune is disabled. Cars past the e9x series use Esys. If you are having problems with diagnostics you should go to the coding sub forum. We don't have the 4 cylinder motors in the US . I imagine they use different files for the motor maybe your version does not support the 4 cylinders best to sort this in the coding sub forum. |
