I thought it was a pass.

The material is 3-4mm thick so i could turn the heat up a bit so no worries getting penetration.

Looking good Brule. It would be good if you could weld in a fitting on the inlet pipe and outlet pipe for measuring the temperature at some stage. That would really give you how efficient the IC was.

Yea for sure.

I was thinking of pressure rather than temperature but both would be good. Pressure drop will be better but not sure how much better.

I am probably wrong here but I thought a lower pressure drop would be good for the life of the turbo but make no difference to the power level. It just means the turbo doesn't have to work as hard to achieve the same boost level. Whereas, the lower the intake air temperature, the more power is produced.

Yea your turbos wont have to work as hard.
How hard im not sure.

So the heat will be less, again not sure how much. We really need a boost gauge pre and post intercooler on a vrsf race and a plazmaman to know what the difference is.

Tube and fin overall will flow better but require more intercooler area to keep iat cool compared to a bar and plate intercooler.

The plazmaman seems to have the iat suppression pretty equal but theres limited data so far.
