How to remove JB4 Back End Flash
Good evening guys
I have been fortunate enough to have had Jin Zhou help me out on the Facebook group with an issue that I have recently come into. Following the thread, it is evident that the problem is being caused by the JB4 back end flash that I applied to the car (I also used MHD to apply a stage 2+ map). The question I have is simple: do I need to do anything to reverse the JB4 backend flash or will pulling it out if the ECU be enough to remove it (and hopefully the check engine light that came with it). My thanks in advance |

You can remove the dmtl error in tuner pro.
Takes 2 minutes. If you dont want to get into it to much mhd off the shelf tunes are pretty popular. |

This is for ikmos rom types but others can post theirs Open XDF, select (don't open) the last table in the table list, click XDF in menu bar, create new XDF parameter, table. Title: DMTL config Address: 0x4c7d9 Cell data size: 8 bit Decimal places: 0 That parameter will now appear in your XDF Open Bin Select your bin change the DMTL parameter to 0 save. Flash that bin to your car again as a custom file.

Thanks for the response Aus335iguy, alas I don't trust myself with any kind of coding!
You wouldn't happen to know someone in Canberra that knows their way around Tuner Pro? |

Sorry to Hijack. I am keeping my jb4 although i have an mhd flash for two reasons unless someone can pursuade me otherwise:
1. For the jb4 gauges on my android head unit. Connects via USB so no need to connect to obdc. 2. I purchased the anti-lag kit and am planning on installing it on the jb4 someday. I'll admit that i bought the mhd after the jb4 for the throttle off gurgle. |

JB4 have some features that people like. Personally I found they can cause issues from time to time and don't recommend them. If it's working for you, great.
