So i'm doing my oil pan (106K Miles) soon and have been stacking up on mostly OEM parts as preventative maintenance, However i came across these on google shopping and decided to take a chance since there is no reviews for our platform, hey Im a nice guy I'll take one for the team
I believe I paid 96$ after a 15% ebay coupon , considering oem brands costed 300$ + that's worth the risk, supposedly they have a year warranty if something were to happen you guys can at least learn from my experience (First Thoughts/Impression) I felt dumb right after I ordered them , I went back and looked at the pictures again and felt as if I wasted 100$ an should've just went oem.. After a week of shipping later seeing these in person quality looks much better than I expected, bushings are pretty stiff, box and packaging was 10/10. Im pretty excited to see these pan out or fail |

I'd risk it with bushings but not with the whole arms. I'd hate to see that ball joint crap out and you lose steering. Hope they work out for you! I've heard of Detroit Axle before but only for 4runner shocks. Mixed reviews.

I installed a set of Detroit Axle struts in a family member's Lexus ES300 and I was satisfied with the quality for the price. They've only been on for six months but so far there are no complaints. Time will tell how they last.
I agree on the ball joints though, that's something I just personally won't go cheap on. Not price specifically, but I'd only stick with known brands with a documented reputation. Axles too. I've had bad luck with cheap made in China axles. That same ES300 has generic axles from Rock Auto and after a year they're clicking when turning. I put new Cardone axles in an old Accord and they were clicking right out of the box. I swapped them for rebuilt Honda axles and the clicking was gone. |

no, they're made in china.
I slapped a set on the wife's XC70, because it's gonna eat them anyway. That's what P2 volvos do to front suspension parts. so far, fine. The goal was to extract the OE arms so I could do bushings at my leisure, and they accomplished that for cheap. |

I wouldn't get shocks that aren't a oem with these bushings id say a 50/50 chance they last properly but if they last 30k miles I'd be fine with that honestly i'm saving money where I think I can get away with certain parts on the car, im doing a mass maintenance binge

Good idea on doing oem bushings while your car is on eBay bushings |

yeah, they're ust a stand in.
makes it waaaaay less stressful. I can swap arms in like 2 hours, but arms +bushings turns into a day. and then what happens if you jack up an arm during install? You're hosed. this is the cheapest route to have piece of mind that I didn't hose up an arm and leave the car disabled, or have to pay a rediculous amount of money at the volvo dealer the next day for an arm. I will say that I was surprised at the fit/finish of the chinese arms. I did buy the balljoints with, because it was cheaper than just arms, and I did not use them. they didn't seem "bad" but they didn't exactly inspire confidence either. honestly my wife drives like maybe 5K a year, so theyll probably last 5 years. the e91 will get lemforder, because I put 38K miles on it last year. |

*More pictures *
Also been doing some looking , the Bushings and ball joints look oem like and they feel tougher quality than ebay ball joints I've seen on 350z's All the suspension components are stamped with Left + Right sides. Impressive for made in China supposedly.. I'll as close ups of those later. |

I don't know if I would risk it with the cheap Detroit Axle stuff unless I was getting ready to sell the car. That's stuff is cheap for a reason.....I would be worried about the strength of the ball joints also.

I have a set of Detroit Axle front hubs on a XJR. Something like 90.00 shipped with the wheel speed indicators.
The OEM bearings are ball bearing, not roller. Not 200,000 mile parts. Guy I know started using as replacements, so far so good.No failures yet. |
