First time at the Drag Strip

Went out to the drag strip yesterday and ran the car for the first time. DA was 4000ft pretty humid and temp was about 85 all night. All that being said times were ok for the weather, did a quick burn out, launched in 2 with traction control in DTC mode at about 2400rpm and it stuck pretty good. Running on 275 Michelin pilot sport A/S's. 13.84 @ 100.7

Is your car stock or do you have mods?

Hell of a launch, but you could be walked by a FBO 328i.

Idk the 328 very well but this doesn’t sound quite right...isn’t a 328 like 70 hp in the hole to a 335 to start with? It seems hard to believe that you could make up the hp defecit with bolt on mods...and this doesn’t even begin to account for the distribution of the hp on the rev curve or the fact that the 335 makes torque throughout its whole rev range...

A 328i can trap 100mph (mine did 99MPH before my most recent round of upgrades)

There is a guy here trapping 102mph. Though, that won't happen at 4000ft, so you got me there.

An F30/32 is a 13 second car with a tune only. A E90 will require bolt ons and tune for sure.

Hey I just did this too, in a manual though. I didn't want to break anything so I took it easy, it was my first time!

13.0 @ 109

Only got to do three runs and each one was a second faster than the last! Unfortunately, launching on 19" wheels with Sport Comp all seasons.

I feel like driver mod can get me into the 12.7s but the rear end just wants to burnout through 3 gears.... How do you guys drive these things in the low 12s? Better tires or do I really have that much drive mod to do!?

MHD, Downpipes, FMIC, BMS Cone intakes
