Sanded down with 2k grit sandpaper (wet sanded), then machine buffed from lightest abrasive to more aggressive if it wasn't getting the yellow out.

Finished with polish, then sealed the headlight with...and this is going to sound weird...clear wood sealer:

Applied with a sponge brush. It's held up though, has not hazed since.

Well, it finally stopped raining so I was able to clean the car and get some better photos:

She's obviously in desperate need of wheels, but based on the feedback in this thread, a set is already on the way.

Going to take me about 6-8 weeks to have them built to spec. Anxiously waiting until then!

Thank you! I'm contemplating going mesh, but it's not too bad. Came with the bumper.

Niceee, your car is looking much better from what I saw at Nu Conceptz. Once you ditch those stock rims it will look hella nice. Keep up the work!

Thanks, sir! It'll be a while before I get the wheels, probably about a month or more if I were to guess. Gives me a little time to get the adequate fender work done. Going to need a roll and probably a slight pull in the rear.

Now I'm in it for the long haul.

Haha, it will all be worth it in the end. Once the mod bug grabs you its hard to stop.

Well, it's cool how they're something that you literally don't see everyday. However, mesh grills would look great as well.

That's crazy lol would've never guessed wood sealer. Thanks though! Gonna try this tomorrow.

I think those ducts look so cool!
The car looks amazing. I loved the LMs but gold forgestars would look badass.
Any plans for a CSL trunk? I happen to think that Crimson Red is the only color on which the stock pre-LCI tails look better than blacklines.

Thanks, man! I actually do want a CSL trunk, but not sure when I want to bite down on that. Definitely on the list. I sort of agree about the black lines. I may end up liking them; just need to grow on me.

Wow this car is gorgeous. Like others have said, wheels and blacklines should finish it off. Though, most people are never usually finished.

Anyways, I love that 1M bumper. Where did you get it? LTMW has them for a pretty penny but ebay has them for a lot less but I'm hesitant to get it off ebay with such a big gap between prices.

Thank you!! Mine was off eBay; I figured I would take the chance and let my body shop sort it out if there was any fit issues. It's a tight fit, required a little work, but nothing they couldn't handle. Turned out decent I think.

Even all said and done, the cost wasn't anything near what I would have paid for an LTMW one, and that's painted and fitted properly.

It's always a dice roll though when you go off eBay.

is it a perfect fit now or is there a little gap between the bumper and hood in person?

Looks great! I'm always iffy about the 1M Rep Bumpers just because of how aggressive they look, but in that color it looks pretty good.

Looking forward to seeing the wheels on.

It's nearly a perfect fit, on the passenger side that connects to the fender, it's a small gap, but not anything incredibly off. The hood gaps had to be readjusted too.

WELL. Finally, an update! From the last time I posted, I was deciding what wheels to get. Since placing the order, there have been a series of unfortunate events.

First, I came down a steep driveway to the point of no return. Ended up with a nice parting gift from the slope Gods:

Which was swiftly repaired:

...and then a week later, messed up again. (From a valet this time, not my own doing)

Once that was repaired...I found myself driving down 95, and I guess my kidney grille was loose and flew off.

I was like: Oh, I'll just stop and get it.

...then I saw a truck run it over in my rear view.

Few days later, I was visiting a friend...ran over an entire tire on an exit ramp.

To add insult to injury, my other grille flew off.

THANKFULLY that same day the new pair came in:

So this PAST weekend, I managed to fix it all, and to celebrate, I painted my mirrors black:

Oh yeah, then after 2 months, my wheels finally came in

Now to get these things on and see how they look.

Thank you!

The only people I know making them for the pre-lci are LTMW...which are an arm and a leg.

So I just opted to pay an arm and update my front end to LCI while I was at it.
