225/40R18 fit 189's?
Looking to purchase these winter Pirelli's:

Yes, 225/40/18 will fit on the rear 189 (18x8.5") wheel.

Ditto. You can also go up to a 255/35/18 tire as well on a 8.5" wheel if you are looking to go staggered in the future for your Summer tires.
