I honestly don't know. Indeed, I had almost no fade on the 335, except on either longer sessions or at Watkins where the speeds were higher and the sessions MUCH longer (but anyway, by the time the brakes started to fade, the heat soak was so bad that I had full boost loss, a CEL and/or a complete loss of power), so it was actually quite well-timed.

We will see at Tremblant. The stock brakes aren't a BBK, but the cooling seems promising, so I think they will hold up.

To be fair, though, since I'm used to paddle shift and engine braking, I expect I won't be good at that at all with a manual - so far more brake use. That's where fade will happen I guess.

Glen, can I use the test drive raincheck at Tremblant?

I am hoping you would say no, cos I don't want to break it

Haha, I don't see why not, although I don't want to skip a session! I think you're a pretty safe driver.

Well thank you! we can do like 10 minutes in the following session, in the afternoon (after 3pm) the I/D drivers do not all do their session so it's pretty much open track for those who want to double their sessions.

No worries we won't be pushing it, but we'll see when we get there.

I don't recall drinking Tim's coffee, nor buying coffee. I know I had a good cappucino at home.

That or you erased it from your memory. Usually happens to me when I buy tequila after imbibing a bottle of vodka. Can never remember the fact of buying it later, but destroyed property and amazed friends usually remind me. Same thing here I guess.

Great seeing everyone yesterday and new faces as well as putting a face to the online name...

Canaut (silver DCT m3 yesterday) just posted his 1:55 lap time at Tremblant.

Very nice lap!

Sick! Holy crap does DCT help on this track. Extra gears, faster acceleration...oh well. Can't allow myself to like paddles! Must stay stubborn

Any mods?

This is interesting. Watching his lines, I am pretty sure that on my better Tremblant laps, my lines are at least as good, and I've the video to prove it I guess that's the difference the car, and proper tires, brakes and other components, make.

Running 19*8.5 et42 (10mm spacer) and 19*10 et23

I still need to fine tune the heights, car isn't level yet.

Not the same area but in Laval: Garbis

I have bad experience with 10 mm spacers and found out it is not recommended on our cars. The lip will eventually be chopped off (happened to me) and your wheels will be riding on the bolts only. 5mm will work.

Not sure I understand, by spacing my et42 wheels i am only bringing it back to a more OEM spec, and to be honest im not even sure which lip your are refering to

If you look at the car wheel hub you will see that there's a circular lip sticking out, on which your wheels sit, This is what holds the weight, not the bolts. When using the 10mm spacer, you are no longer using the wheel hub lip, now the weight goes on the spacer lip, which is aluminum. This aluminum lip gets chopped off, with the wheel moving up and down even slightly, like a guillotine, on one side by the wheel (weight of the car) and by the other side, the wheel hub lip which is quite strong.

12 mm or more and 5mm or less won't have this effect.
