Arrow Front "Thrust" Arm/ Control Arm DIY and question

So I had bad vibrating when I would brake, 07 E92 328i, and it got worse over time. So took it to dealer here in SoCal and SA said it was the front "thrust" arm bushing which I looked into and it seems to be the same thing as the lower control arm. He quoted me about $400, I don't have the exact amount right now but I found the entire arm for on average of $100. It has two bushings; I believe one is a "ball joint" and the other is a regular bushing with rubber in it. Instead of guessing which bushing it could be or messing with pulling out the old one and pressing in the new, I just bought the whole arm from ECS Tuning BMW manufactured. So I replaced it and it all seemed to turn out great but as I continued driving my car, some vibrating came back, nowhere near as bad as before, but what could it be now?

I apologize for the long story but I figured I should include some details to help understand my problem.

Following is my DIY for the Front Thrust Arm replacement. Hope it helps and thanks in advance for your help.

Find a shop with a road force machine and get it done. These cars, especially with wider rubber, are VERY sensitive to wheel balance. Road force is the only way to get that "dead", non-vibrating steering wheel feel even deep into triple digit speeds.

Thanks, that sounds like it should fix the problem. Also do you think replacing the rotors might help?

sorry for the delay, will post DIY tomorrow assoon as I can transfer the pictures.

as far as the vibrating continuing after replacing the arm, today I replaced the front rotors and discovered one of my wheels was bent. nothing major so just banged it out with a hammer (which I don't recommend) and vibrations went away completely!! Not sure if it . was due to the rim or rotors though.

Thanks all for the help.
Thanks stratplaya06. I still am looking to do the road force balancing.

Its a pretty easy replacement.

1)jack car up
2)secure on jackstands
3)take off wheel
4)undo thrust arm bolt that attaches it to subframe
5)remove 24mm nut on balljoint at the steering knuckle that holds thrust arm to steering knuckle
6)use ball joint extractor to get thrust arm off of balljoint at the steering knuckle

Then re-install is the reverse of install, except you need to put a jack under the thrust arm and jack it up to level, THEN torque the bolt holding it to the subframe. Make sure to use new bolts on the suspension.

edit-wrote that for an xi. no ball joint puller is needed for a RWD car. Use a deadblow on the end of the balljoint shank to pop it out.
