Talking Pictures of my $145 Carbon Fiber E90 Performance Spoiler

I bought this just over a month ago from ebay. It was shipped from Taiwan and the list price was $105 and the shipping was $40. I had pretty high expectations and this blew me away. The weave is flawless and the fitment/overall quality is 10/10. It even came with a precut roll of 3M tape. The included roll was really thin which made it easy to install. It was my first time installing anything with 3M tape and I did a pretty terrible job so there are small gaps on the sides but that was my fault and you have to be looking for them.

Overall I am very happy with buying this and I'd do it again. The car looks great from the back but especially the side and I had some family in town while installing it and they all said that it 'makes the car'.

I bought it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/270711594752...84.m1439.l2649

Anyways, here are the pictures:

I remember another member getting an ebay perf spoiler for the e90 and it looked great as well. I was debating about getting this myself. Thanks for the review!

Nice, but I still prefer the look and fitment of OEM.

What is the difference? Do you have pictures I can see?

edit: Nvm I found your pictures. However, that isn't the Performance version that is the M-Tech version right? Saying you like the OEM fitment/look doesn't make sense in that context since it is a completely different version. I bet you couldn't tell a difference between the OEM Performance Spoiler and my Replica Performance Spoiler, and especially not from pictures

I don't understand why some of you get scared from Taiwanese/Chinese stuff when most parts sponsors sell are Taiwanese/Chinese -.-

This pretty much looks the same as the OEM for the e90....Now I know for the e92s the replicas don't usually kick as high but for the e90s they already don't kick high to start with.

Very nice. I bought one for my E90 as well.
The weave has some minor flaw on the left corner but overall I'm satisfied with my purchase. Maybe I can snap a picture tomorrow.

Haha yeah I don't get it either. One of my favorite watch brands (http://parnisoutlet.com/) is Chinese too and whenever I tell people that they automatically think they must suck -.-

Yeah well Chinese can replicate with unbelievable quality and precision and can also replicate with poor quality; "you get what you pay for", and when people began to import products from China they always used to get the cheapest stuff, meaning poor quality items, that's why Chinese products have the reputation of poor quality. I mean, Iphone is Chinese made, Vorsteiner is Chinese made ...

+1. Yeah, looks OK for the money, but just a quick glance and you can see multiple things wrong. For example, those "small gaps" on the ends don't look that small to me (third to last pic). They need to be flush to look properly installed. And the inside curve of the middle of the spoiler has a long-running, slender gap where it's not sitting flush with the trunk (second to last pic). It also appears that you've either mounted the spoiler too far off the rear end of the trunk, or the spoiler just doesn't flow/fit well where its base meets the rear of the trunk (third to last pic). In addition, the top edge of the spoiler looks thicker and/or rounder than an OEM spoiler (last pic).

I have the painted version of this wing. Same thing from Taiwan. I would say the paint on it isn't great, had a little but of cracking to it and doesn't appear to be as glossy as oem. Also the figment is off a bit in the corners and license plate side of the trunk. All stuff that I noticed but the everyday person wouldn't look twice.

The small gaps at the end are due to my bad installation, not the fitment. Also, there is no "long slender gap" that is just a shadow. And yes I mounted it too far off the trunk. It was a hot day and the second I put down the splitter and the 3m tape it was very, very well bonded and I couldn't move it which I hadn't expected. I'll probably re-install it at one point but you'd have to reallllly be looking for flaws to find any anyways.
