Great information, but I'm not sure why San Diego's port website is mentioned here for checking arrival. San Diego is not where the ship needs to be for BMW unloading. I would say that one should check Port Hueneme's schedule for arrival schedules for West Coast bound cars: http://www.portofhueneme.org/

You can take your Production Number and go online to track your vehicle’s status. Keep in mind that this system is usually a week behind. BMW Owner’s Circle (OC) http://www.bmwusa.com/OwnersCircle/ gives you very little information to simplify the waiting process (and no, we don’t like that, we like detail!) and break the order process into 5 stages

My status just changed to En Route today!

From the WW schedule Im guessing I am on either the vessel Freedom or Atlantic Cartier sailing from Bremerhaven to NY.

Anyone know if the east coast is in fact my delivery port?

I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this asked yet, and if it has been, forgive me a my noob status

MY client advisor tells me that I'm due to be done w/ production on 7/24. Any chance I get on the ship TITUS that leaves Bremerhaven on 7/25? Not only is it sooner, but something about that ship has a 12 day transit time to SC, whereas every other ship listed takes 19 days. The next ship out is LIBERTY on 7/30, and arrives in SC on 8/18.

So does anyone have an reasonable expectations on wait times at Bremerhaven?

This waiting is like mild torture, or what addicts go through in rehab

My car is on the PATRIOT, which is currently right off the shores of Ireland. The call sign for the PATRIOT is WQVY (use this on sailwx), it should be in NY on the 6th of August - Just in case you car is on that ship!

I placed an order last week and the car already shows under the production number I was given by the dealer in the BMW's website.
Dealer told me that the order is for a September slot. Is there a way to know for sure before it changes on the BMW website? Or I just have to take their word for it that it's on for September?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that obsesses over the details of my car's delivery schedule. It's funny how much we want to know about a process that we have absolutely no control over. We just want to know when our new family member will arrive ... we need cigars that say, instead of "it's a boy/girl!", they say, "It's a bimmer!".

I'm told my next car is on a truck from the prep center to the dealer, and I should be able to pick it up within a day or two. Yay!

This is my first post. I ordered a 2007 328i convertible on May 11 and on September 10, it will begin production, finally!!! In fact, now it will be a 2008 since it took so long.

I'm planning to take delivery in Greenville, SC, getting there by airplane. Does anyone know how soon I'll know what day it will arrive in order to make plane reservations?? I'd rather not make them the last minute.

That is worked out between your CA and PDC. He can give them dates you requested. I didn't get my date till 2 days before it finished production. My car finished production on 9/8 and I'll be doing PDC on 11/26. That was the only week I had for vacation.

While this info is outstanding and a wonderful guide/resource i have found atleast 2 changes or inaccuracies..

Order Options due in fact appear on the OC. This post indicates options "are not displayed on the OC All of my ordered options are listed...E.G. Steptronic-Sports -Package-Type of Interior and Trim and other options.

Scheduled For Production "Does Not" mean that its 3 days away from production when it reaches this status(as indicated in the original post). My vehicle shows this status yet is 2.5 weeks way from production....I wish the post was correct as id be so much more pleased...

Just some updates from my very recent/ongoing experience....In no way meant to diminish the great posting which is appreciated...

Have an E92 floating this direction but cannot get the Carrier or Ship's name. I would bet some of you have cars on the same ship and have figured it out already.

Not that I am anxious or anything:

Departure Date: On or About 16 October 2007
Origin: Bremerhaven, DEU
Destination: Port Hueneme, CA, USA

And any experience from docking date to the San Francisco Bay Area os more than welcome. My dealer seems reluctant to provide this information.

E92 Monaco Blue, Cream Dakota, Steptronic, etc. All but Active Cruise Control, Active Steering and Cold Weather Package (probably should have considered everything but the Cold Weather Package)

Okay, something strange must be going on with my dealer. My CA told me that unless he has a contact in Germany, there is no way for him to know in which ship my car is in. All he told me is that it's due in Port Hueneme in Oxnard, CA on 10/27/07.

Can someone verify this, or does he not know some info? Thanks!

ED cars are not tracked by BMWNA. I called EH Harmes USA, Inc.
Ph 410-837-7613 ext 202, I spoke with Jessica. She was able to give me the ship's name, shipping company, date of departure, and date of arrival. For some reason, my BMW agent was unable to do this or unwilling to make the effort to find out.

Once you have this information, go to the Port Hueneme web site:

and click on "Current Vessel Schedule". Look for your ship's name and it will confirm when it is to arrive in port.

My car is finally in USA and my dealer told me that it is at the center for the final check but that is all that he told me. It came to the port on Tue, Nov 20th and I am not sure how long it takes to move the car from the NJ center to NJ dealership. Anyone knows how I can check if the car was at least registered yet?
