Speed sensor data, Transmission holding gears too long.
Hello all. I am new to posting, so please feel free to instruct me.
I had a speed sensor code and all the associated lights (ABS, Brake, DTC). So I replaced the rear passenger speed sensor on my 2009 335d (USA, so LCI). I cleaned any rust dust out of the area. The codes cleared themselves when I started to drive again. However, the transmission still holds gears WAY too long, which is what it did before I replaced the sensor. I figure that maybe the sensor is not reading the magnet in the bearing very well. So I'd like to "scope" the readings from the wheel speed sensors and see if they are lining up. Can anyone guide me on which software to use? ISTA? Something else? Do you want to send me down another path? Car is not storing any other transmission, ABS, Brake, or DSC codes EXCEPT the brake wear sensor on the rear axle (passenger side). I am waiting on the sensor. Any help is certainly appreciated! |

Bump and Update.
I was able to scope the wheel speed sensor in question and they are all behaving well. Still not brake wear sensor on that side, but that can't be it, can it?? |

Having the same issue with Trans after rear speed sensor replacement? What was the solution to your issue?
Thanks, 2011 335D deleted/tuned but no trans tune. |
